Buzios,Brazil 9-16th August 2010

I can't believe that we have nearly been away for a week now! Well we had a great flight to Rio, decent meals and films too! Arrived in Rio to be greeted by our transfer-Jose Antonio. Collected  our bags and started our drive to Buzios.....nice. Then my mobile goes, it's the airport-we have left one of our bags?! Stop the taxi, check the bags....oh dear, we have taken somebody else's identical rucksack!! Back to airport with humble apologies to the 2 British tourists panicking at the lost luggage stand! oops!!

Right, back to Buzios......
What a great place. Quiet and full of character- a fishing village with cobbled streets, sandy beaches and lovely restaurants....oh and loads of quaint shops!!
Our villa is really nice, comfy bed and a fantastic shower. Great views over the sea too. The owner of this hotel used to teach at Roundwood-Kevan Prior...what a small world!!!
We have been exploring the many tiny coves and beaches in our BABY jeep- great  fun! The locals are extremely friendly and have made us feel at home. There are plenty of things to do and see.
Bridgette Bardot came here in 1965 and that is why this place is so chic....thats why we feel so at home here! lol
Anyway, I have been amazed at the amount of wildlife....Condors, Humming birds, Frigate Birds, mini iguanas, oh and barking dogs!!!
The seafood is excellent and we have eaten too much already!!!
We are enjoying our final day before departing for the next part of our trip - The Galapagos Islands.

2 Days to go!!

Kelly and I have 2 days to go before we jet off on our World Trip. We can't believe that we are leaving!!!
However, we have a trillion things to do before we go.......
Will try really hard to keep this up to date.
